Hoplite Night Vision Target Identification Cover
Hoplite Night Vision Target Identification
Cover The Hoplite was developed by SOF operators to reduce near to far focusing time. Refocusing
is accomplished through a flip up or down hinged aperture that is mounted on the NVG objective lens. The
patented technology provides unrivaled speed for target identification of threats at 5 feet or 300 yards. The hinged cover
gives soldiers a critical advantage by allowing NVG’s to stay focused to infinity while simultaneously allowing Target
ID of near threats by simply flipping the cover closed. Soldiers have modified their dust covers in the field to gain this
same advantage only to discover unreliable transitioning and functional inconsistency.

far objects are in focus.
The Hoplite also has an integrated dust cover to protect the goggles
lens it’s mounted on. Tens of thousands of NVG’s are damaged each year due to lens scratches and cracks. The Hoplite
system replaces the standard dust cover and sacrificial lens. The window can be replaced once it becomes scratched or damaged.
